(Applications that are received after the deadline will be considered on space availability basic)

This application is to be used by graduate students who previously attended Hunter College and who wish to return.  (A student can only be readmitted to the same status in which they were formerly accepted.  Former non-matriculated students who are seeking admission to a degree program should file an Application for Graduate Admission).  There is no need to apply for readmission if you have not been out of attendance for one semesters.  Students academically eligible, grade point average 3.0 or higher, are generally approved for readmissions.

Students whose graduate GPA is below 3.0 must submit along with this application a Graduate Probation Approval form signed by the Graduate Advisor and Divisional Dean. This form can be obtained in the Office of Admission Room 203 Hunter North or (Download here).

Please Download and fill out all information requested and sign the application. Failure to complete the application will result in a delay in processing. Return this application in person or mail to: Hunter College, Office of Graduate Admissions Room-203 North, 695 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065.

 A $10.00 application fee is required of all Matriculated Graduate students. A $125 application fee is required of all Non-Matriculated Graduate students. This application fee is non-refundable and your application will not be processed without payment. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR I.D./ SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER ON ALL CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS. Please DO NOT send cash.

MATRICULATED READMITS ONLY:

  1. Arrange to have official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended since your last attendance at Hunter College sent to:

  2. Hunter College, Office of Graduate Admissions, Room 203 North, 695 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065.

  3. Students whose deadline for completion of the degree has passed (School of Arts and Sciences - 4 years; School of Education or the Schools of the Health Professions - 5 years) are required to submit an approved Time Extension Approval Form with this application. This application is available in the Admissions Office, Room 203 North. If you have any questions, please contact your Graduate Advisor.

  4. If you are applying for readmission to the School of Social Work, you must obtain written permission from: School of Social Work - Admissions Office-Room 704, SSW. 

NON-MATRICULATED READMIT ONLY:

If you are applying for readmission to one of the following programs, you must obtain written permission from:
